This semester a group of ETSU students attended the 2011 Game Developer’s Conference in sunny San Francisco, California.

Senior Portfolio Exhibition

This exhibition will showcase the Digital Media graduating class portfolios. These portfolios include 3D Game Design, 3D Modeling, Animation, Lighting and Rendering, Technical Direction, Interactive Web Design, Video, Digital Art, and Digital Design.

Students create book covers in the style of a graphic novel. This is primarily using raster-based techniques.

Students in DIGM3120, 3D Rendering and Lighting, do some modeling, UV map, texture and light these scenes. They are using Global Illumination, Final Gather, and Image-Based Lighting in some cases.

Game Students Travel to Raleigh, NC

Students from the Digital Media program traveled to Raleigh, NC in April to attend the Triangle Games Conference. The students took the opportunity to show current game development projects that they are working on for the Level Design Classes being offered at ETSU.

ETSU Digital Media Students were honored with the Student Best of Show, 6 Gold ADDYs and 3 Silver Awards at the 2009 Advertising Federation of Northeast Tennessee ADDY Awards presentation at The Charles in Johnson City on February 27, 2010.

ETSU Digital Media Students win IDMAA Student Showcase Award

Graduate students in the Digital Media Concentration in Technology snagged the award for ETSU for “Research and Practical Application” in the 3rd Annual Student Showcase at the 2009 International Digital Media Arts Association (IDMAA) Conference.
