Celebrity Portrait

Students used a variety of techniques to create a celebrity portrait for DIGM 2710 Vector-Based Imaging. Techniques include a mosaic of icons, all text, or graphically simplified color tones.

Where Are They Now?

  Our Alumni have had success in a number of different areas. You may have seen their work in Kung Fu Panda, World of Warcraft, The Last Jedi, The Walking Dead, Thor Ragnarok, Halo, Charlie Brown and other large entertainment properties. You also see alumni work with broadcast designers, advertising and marketing designers, modelers on HGTV, and technical directors behind the scenes. Historic ETSU Win at NSAC

ETSU students take first place in district AAF NSAC competition A team of East Tennessee State University students took home top honors in the district-level American Advertising Federation (AAF) 2018 National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) held in Jackson, Mississippi, and will advance toward the national competition. The NSAC is the premier college advertising competition in the United States, providing more than 2,000 college students the real-world experience of creating a strategic advertising, marketing and media campaign for a corporate client and pitching their work to advertising professionals at the district, semi-final and national levels. EVOXE Wins Award

An interactive digital publication focused on the arts created by students and overseen by faculty at East Tennessee State University brought home the “Student Best of Show” award from the American Advertising Federation of Northeast Tennessee.  It also won a regional Addy award which will be presented in April. The publication is called “EVOXE” and was created by students and faculty in ETSU’s mass communication and digital media programs to celebrate the arts at ETSU.  It is currently available as an app for mobile and tablet devices as well as viewable online. Students are Adobe Design Achievement Awards Semi-Finalists

Four Digital Media Students are Semi-finalists in the 2016 Adobe Design Achievement Awards We’re pleased to announce that 2 out of the 8 team projects from the Advanced Raster-Based Imaging class in Digital Media were selected as official semifinalists in the 2016 Adobe Design Achievement Awards. Congratulations to Justin Bergan, Scott Hill, Jonah Lasley and Aaron Bookout! 1469 Semifinalists were chosen this year out of 5304 international entrants. the Adobe Design Achievement Awards are a global digital media competition for student creators in 14 categories. Creative Arts Scholarship

The Creative Arts Scholarship in Digital Media allows out-of-state students to pay in-state tuition. ETSU and Digital Media are committed to providing excellent training and experiences for students in the digital arts. This scholarship provides out-of-state students with the complete cost of out-of-state portion of tuition, so recipients pay the same rate as Tennessee residents.  Students who are participating in another program which covers out-of-state tuition, such as the  Academic Common Market, border waiver, or Honors-in-Discipline, are not eligible.
